The Food and Drink Festival team invite you to participate in Festival 12!

Running between 23rd and 24th September 2017!

The 11th festival saw again a record number of outside stalls and brought over 40,000 visitors to Holmfirth over the two days.

Selling out in a matter of weeks, 2016 was by far the most successful festival Holmfirth has ever hosted.

In 2017 we do it all again!

fairandfunkyWe are renewing our partnership with fairandfunky who hosted a ‘Family Food Zone’ in the Market Hall! Showcasing local, Fairtrade and ethical businesses it will be a lively, engaging and interactive zone of the festival with live music and competitions for all the family.

We are planning to stage another memorable Food and Drink event, building on the success of all previous festivals, the hard work of our events team over the year, our new Festival Makers and, of course, the magical heart of Holmfirth, situated amongst the towering hills of the magnificent Pennines.

As always we will showcase the excellent food and drink the Holme Valley and surrounding areas has to offer.

With over 20,000 people visiting each day, we are offering our vendors access to the festival, along with the following benefits

This year we will be offering a leaflet, showcasing a map of Holmfirth, the events, food demonstrations and vendors.

With a growing base of people watching what we do on social media (currently; 7,500) we have a direct route to advertise your business to customers with an already vested interest in what you can offer; this targeted, intelligent advertising is a huge benefit to any business.

This team will be very active leading up to and over the weekend creating a huge social media buzz about the festival and your business.

Trading from 10am to 8pm

Premium pitches on Towngate will open between 10am and 8pm on the Saturday and 10am to 6pm Sunday.  All other pitches will open between 10am and 6pm, both days.

Each stand will be asked to submit a full product list pre-event and we will, where possible, ensure that no official stands in the same zone will cross over on product – ensuring you the best possible opportunity for sales.

Dates and Times

The 12th Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival will be run over Friday 22nd (Towngate only), Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September 2017.

Premium pitches on Towngate will open between 5pm – 9pm Friday, 10am and 8pm on the Saturday and 10am to 6pm Sunday

All other pitches will open between 10am and 6pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Sinks and extra equipment

We have a duty of care to ensure that, where required, stallholders serving or dealing with food have hand washing and refrigeration facilities. Should you require any of these facilities we can recommend a local supplier for you.

Stall Selection

You have an option to book a market stall (10 feet by 4 feet), includes a canopy and table, or a ground pitch (10 feet by 10 feet) with no equipment provided.

As space is at a premium, extra space will be chargeable at the advertised rate. For example you wish to take a 6x3m pitch, you will be charged for 2 * 3x3m pitches. If this is required, please note on the application form.

Refuse Deposit

A deposit of £50 will be added to your festival invoice and will be returned via BACS following successful checkout from the event.

Extra Space

As space is at a premium, extra space will be chargeable at the advertised rate. For example you wish to take a 6x3m pitch, you will be charged for 2 * 3x3m pitches. If this is required, please note on the application form.

Payment Terms

Successful applicants will be required to pay 50% of the stall fee in order to secure their booking by 31st March. The remaining balance is due by 31st July.

Any vendors who require to cancel after payments are made (up to 1 month before) will be entitled to a full refund, minus a £100 admin fee. Cancellations between 1 month and 1 week before the event will be refunded at 50%, subject to us being able to replace you. Any refunds from 1 week to the event will not be considered.

Timeline

Applications close 17th March 2017 and all will be notified by 24th March 2017.

We have traded at the Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival for the last two years. Firstly, we find that this event generates a significant income, but secondly, and more importantly; it puts us in front of an affluent and adventurous crowd. In terms of ‘getting our name out there’, the event is a perfect marketing opportunity. The demographic we have found to attend this event come with the specific intent of ‘trying something new’. As a launch pad to get our product in front of an affluent, adventurous and knowledgeable crowd – this event is fantastic.

The Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival was the first event we ever did with our converted Citroen HY, in 2013, and since we have also been present at the Tour De France week end in 2014.

The even is always well organised and attended. The sunshine is almost 100% guaranteed in Holmfirth, we are very excited of the prospect to be there again.
