Why do YOU need FESTIVAL Artists?
A new idea for 2017 and building on the success of Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival, we have identified specific areas of the site to allow approved street performers to do their thing – think Covent Garden meets Holmfirth!
Whether you’re a musician or a magician, a balloon twister or a boy band, a caricaturist or a clown we want to hear from you! We are giving local talent the platform to be seen and heard by over 40,000 people over two days. During the festival weekend, we want to create a bustling buzz around Holmfirth and we are searching for variety!
Who can apply?
We are taking applications from absolutely any type of street performer or act including; balloon artists, musicians, magicians, jugglers, mime artists, bands, caricaturists, contortionists and street artists! Simply click ‘Apply Now’ below, complete the application form and we will let you know if your application has been accepted.
How many can be IN a group?
Due to pressures of the size of the site, we are unable to accept groups with 6 or more people.
When is the festival?
The 12th Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival will take place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September 2017.
Do I get paid?
Festival Artists are unpaid by the festival itself, but we will be encouraging our visitors to recognise your talent and make a contribution! We will provide you with a food voucher to spend anywhere on site.

Please make sure you have read the Busking Code of Conduct before you complete and submit your application.
All we ask is for your understanding as this area of the festival is brand new and while we will be as efficient as we can – things might not go as smoothly as expected!
